The Chakras

Chakra, from the Sanskrit chakra meaning wheel or circle, refers to one of the seven energy
centres of the body. Each chakra directs a specific energy and is responsible for specific
benefits when properly aligned. When your chakras are in balance you are healthy,
productive, and happy.

2. Third Eye chakra (clairvoyance)
3. Throat chakra (communication)
4. Heart chakra (love)
5. Solar Plexus chakra (power)

We normally see the chakra portrayed on a representation of the human body and described from
the crown of the head to the base of the spine. However, aligning and balancing your chakra’s are done from the
base of the spine to the top of the head.

Chakra’s have a huge part to play in our physical, emotional and mental wellbeing. Which I will break down in the topics below.

The solar plexus chakra is the centre of self-esteem, is home to our personal power or ‘ego’, and provides intuition and confidence.

Physical Body Component: Upper abdomen, liver, digestive system, stomach, spleen
Glands: Pancreas and adrenals
